LAGOS, NigeriA (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Aaron Ramsdale was back on the training pitch on Monday, gearing up for Arsenal’s upcoming match against Sevilla on Tuesday night.
The English goalkeeper was absent from Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday due to the birth of his first son with wife Georgina on Friday.
However, Ramsdale was fully engaged in Monday’s training session, and Arsenal is set to announce their traveling squad for the Sevilla match following the practice.
Having lost his position as the Gunners’ primary goalkeeper last month, the 25-year-old is now in competition with David Raya for the role.

Since Raya’s debut against Everton on September 17, Ramsdale has made just one appearance, which was in the third round of the Carabao Cup against Brentford, where he kept a clean sheet in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory.
Lately, Raya has faced difficulties, potentially opening the door for Ramsdale’s return to the starting lineup.
Arsenal is set to face Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 24, as they seek to get back on the winning track in European competition.
