LAGOS, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Super Eagles and Omonia FC goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has expressed his excitement playing at Old Trafford.
Despite being a lifelong Manchester United fan, Uzoho faced numerous attacks from the Red Devils in a previous UEFA Europa League encounter two years ago.
Although disappointed with the outcome, he took pride in his performance, making 12 saves and being hailed as the man of the match.
Scott McTominay’s late goal broke Omonia hearts, sealing the win for United.
Although disappointed with the outcome, Uzoho found solace in his individual display.
“I am not disappointed with the result because we had a great game, but we would have preferred to get at least a point,” Uzoho stated, as per BT Sports. “But I’m happy, it’s not an easy Stadium to play in with these big players.”
