LAGOS, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA) –Cyriel Dessers reached a significant milestone in his career after scoring his 130th club career goal during Rangers hard-fought 2-1 victory against St Mirren.
The Belgium-born Nigerian achieved the feat in 328 games.
Dessers’ 20th goal of the season across all competitions proved to be the decisive strike that kept Rangers’ Scottish Premiership title hopes alive.

In a fortuitous turn of events, Rangers took the lead through an own goal by St Mirren defender James Bolton. However, St Mirren quickly equalized with a header from Mikael Mandron.
Dessers rose to the occasion and secured the winner with a header, ensuring Rangers avoided a four-match winless streak in the league for the first time since February 2017.
The victory keeps Rangers in contention for a domestic treble following their win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi-finals last weekend.
