LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Christian Pulisic, the USMNT star, expressed his determination to make a strong impact in upcoming matches after failing to lead AC Milan to victory against Newcastle United in the Champions League.

Although Pulisic started the match on the bench, he came on early in the second half to replace Samuel Chukwueze.

However, he had a relatively quiet performance as Milan settled for a draw in their Group F opener at San Siro.

Despite the result, Pulisic remained positive about his team’s performance and pledged to bounce back after this disappointment.

“It was a positive match with many opportunities, but we couldn’t secure the win.

“In football, you have to be able to handle defeats, but the beauty of such a demanding schedule is that you have another match right away to prove your worth,” he commented after the game.

Pulisic has quickly adapted to his new club and started in each of Milan’s Serie A matches before Chukwueze got his chance in the Champions League opener.

Pulisic has already scored two goals in four Serie A appearances, and he is likely to return to the starting lineup for the upcoming match against Verona after Chukwueze couldn’t make the most of his opportunity.

Milan faces Verona on Saturday, followed by a trip to Cagliari on 27 September.

With a packed schedule, they will host Lazio on 30 September before visiting Borussia Dortmund on 4 October for their next Champions League encounter.
