LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –In an unexpected turn of events, the retired football legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, made an appearance at AC Milan’s final training session before their Champions League clash with Newcastle United.
During his visit, Ibrahimovic had a friendly chat with manager Stefano Pioli and playfully hinted at a comeback with the Rossneri.
In a humorous Instagram message to Milan fans, Ibrahimovic quipped, “I came here to Milanello and I immediately told the coach that I’m ready to play, but my name wasn’t on the list.
“Although I am feeling good and fit, Jokes aside, keep supporting Milan; everything will be ok. See you at the San Siro.”
This surprise visit from the veteran striker comes after he officially retired from professional football in June 2023, following AC Milan’s final game of the 2022/23 season at a packed San Siro stadium.
AC Milan is gearing up to face Newcastle United in their opening Champions League group stage match, set to take place at San Siro on Tuesday.
