LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – West Ham have successfully finalized the acquisition of Ghanaian football sensation Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, sealing a substantial £38 million deal.
Kudus completed his medical examination on August 26 after arriving in London via a private jet accompanied by West Ham’s technical director, Tim Steidten.
This transaction amounts to €41.5 million, with an additional €3 million in potential add-ons (equivalent to £35.5 million plus £2.5 million).
Kudus, who notably becomes West Ham’s fourth summer signing after Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, and Konstantinos Mavropanos, has committed to a five-year contract.
The club prevailed in a competitive environment, outshining some of Europe’s most prominent teams to secure the promising attacker.

Reflecting on his move, Kudus shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Since I was a child, I’ve dreamt of playing in a league like this. This moment is a dream come true, but I’m not stopping here “

Throughout the summer, clubs including Brighton, Arsenal, and Chelsea showed keen interest in Kudus.
Prior to his transition to West Ham, the striker impressed with four goals in three appearances for Ajax this season, notably securing a Europa League hat-trick against Ludogorets Razgrad.
David Moyes, West Ham’s manager, lauded the board’s and Steidten’s efforts in securing Kudus’ signature.
