LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Ajax midfielder, Edson Alvarez has reportedly signed a contract with West Ham for £32 million.
The only Premier League team without a new player this summer is David Moyes’ group, but they will now try to finalize Alvarez’s deal in the coming days.
A like-for-like replacement for Rice, defensive midfielder Alvarez will sign a five-year contract. The 25-year-old will now take a flight to London for a medical checkup.

This summer, West Ham formed a new transfer committee under the direction of Tim Steidten, a former executive from Bayer Leverkusen who was appointed technical director.
They are still interested in signing Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire from Manchester United, and further signings are anticipated before the transfer window closes.
James Ward-Prowse may get a new offer despite Southampton’s adamant stance on their asking price.
The Hammers’ Premier League season will get underway on August 12 against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
