    Electorates Worry Over Late Arrival Of INEC Officials In Enugu

    ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – As at 8:40am, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials had yet to arrive at a polling unit, Girls Grammar Schools Awkunanaw, ward nine.

    Not less than 100 electorates had arrived the polling unit to cast their votes for their preferred candidate, for presidential and National Assembly candidates.

    Voiceofnaija.ng gathered that there are about nine polling units inside the Awkunanaw Girls school.

    One of the electorates who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that she arrived at about 7am, and has been waiting for the INEC officials to arrive.

    She noted that she paid N1,500. 00 to get to the election venue to vote for Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, (LP).

    Voiceofnaija.ng reports that some security personnel are around to make sure there is peace and order.
