ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The newly appointed deputy governor of Edo State, Chief Marvellous Omobayo, has vowed to collaborate closely with Governor Godwin Obaseki to deliver signature projects within the remaining six months of their tenure.
He made the pledge on Sunday, April 21, and also assured his support for Obaseki, a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to conclude their term on November 12, 2024, on a strong note.

Omobayo made these remarks during his inaugural visit to Akoko-Edo Local Government in Edo North Senatorial District, following his April 8 inauguration, which followed the impeachment of Comrade Philip Shaibu.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception from the people of Edo North, including Akoko-Edo, Owan, and Etsako ethnic groups, the deputy governor vowed not to let them down.
Omobayo, who also toured the other five LGAs in Edo North, was greeted with enthusiasm by the residents.
