LAGOS,Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –As the Premier League season nears its end, the upcoming matches hold great significance.

Each point earned or lost can have a major impact on the teams’ goals and determine their fate in the race for the title.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are all closely competing for the Premier League title with just 10 games remaining in the 2023/24 season.

Liverpool currently leads the table with 67 points, but the gap between the top four teams is tight, with only eight points separating them. This shows how competitive the league is and emphasizes the importance of each match.

Liverpool has an advantage in their remaining fixtures, which are considered more favorable compared to their title rivals.

Some teams, like Aston Villa, West Ham, Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, and Burnley, have already completed 30 games, giving them a clearer idea of their position as they enter the final stretch of the season.

On sunday, Manchester City couldn’t score against Arsenal, resulting in a 0-0 draw. Meanwhile, Liverpool secured a victory over Brighton, allowing them to move to the top of the Premier League table.

Despite facing relatively tough schedules, all three contenders brace themselves for a nail-bitting conclusion.

Here are the four interesting fixtures that could decide the champions of 2023/24 Premier League season;

Manchester City vs Aston Villa, April 3

Unai Emery’s Villa side have been in fine form since the start of the season and will be aiming for a top-four finish to play Champions League football next season.

The former European Champions Villa are in fourth as they eye a first since the competition became the Champions League.

Villa stunned City in December 2023 thanks to Leon Bailey’s 74th-minute goal that sealed a 1-0 win. But City are unbeaten since then, while Villa also maintained their grip on the top four.

Manchester United vs Liverpool, April 7

Liverpool will seek revenge against Manchester United after their defeat in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Liverpool is hoping to win the Premier League and Europa League in Jurgen Klopp’s final season. A victory at Old Trafford is crucial for Liverpool’s pursuit of equaling United’s record of 20 English titles.

Tottenham vs Arsenal, April 28

The clash between Tottenham and Arsenal is a significant match for both teams in the north London derby.

Arsenal, despite not winning the league title for two decades, has shown resilience in recent encounters.

Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou’s management, has improved and aims to finish in the top four.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool, May 11

Liverpool faces a tougher challenge against Aston Villa in the upcoming rematch after comfortably defeating the Lion 3-0 at Anfield back in September.

Jurgen Klopp aims for a fourth consecutive victory at Villa Park and wants to avoid a repeat of their previous 7-2 loss to Villa in 2020.

Liverpool is eyeing their first title in four years and cannot afford another collapse.
