LAGOS, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian singer Wizkid has sparked a frenzy on social media after mocking Davido and Don Jazzy, the music producer.
In the early hours of Monday, he engaged fans and trolled fellow artist Davido and firing a veiled shot at Don Jazzy.
The ‘Made in Lagos’ hitmaker said he had a lot on his mind but would not spill them because they were offensive and unsavoury.
“Every day I get things to say but my mouth no good”.
The singer then threw a subtle shade at Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho, over a dig on Afrobeats artistes by Ladipoe.
The rapper and Mavin signee had challenged Afrobeats artistes to live up to the culture just like their counterparts in the hip-hop genre.
“Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own,” he wrote.

A curious fan had brought the rapper’s tweet to Wizkid’s attention, asking him to address it.
“Wizkid, Ladipo still talk nonsense yesterday o, Abeg enter that one too,” he wrote.
Wizkid replied by saying, “Lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next,” in what appeared to be a shot at Don Jazzy.
Wizkid then reposted a post that reads “No b don jazzy b that?” hinting at Don Jazzy is the “influencer” he was talking about.
Wizkid also took a swipe at Davido, his colleague, while responding to a user who sought a music release.
When a fan asked him to release new music, he humourously replied, “Is it by force?”
He asked his fans to beg him for new music, using Davido’s recently viral crying video as an example.

“Beg me like this” he posted alongside the viral video.
This comes few weeks after he distanced himself from being called an “Afrobeats” singer saying, “Don’t call me an Afrobeats artiste. I’m not Afro anything.”
Wizkid has also been promoting his upcoming album, Morayo.
This album holds special significance as it serves as a tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
