LAGOS, Nigeria (VIOCE OF NAIJA) – Adidas has introduced the official match ball for UEFA Euro 2024, drawing inspiration from the tournament’s vibrant spirit and diversity.
Known as FUSSBALLLIEBE, the ball features a colorful pattern capturing the tournament’s energy and incorporates technology aiding VAR decisions.
This ball, designed to reflect the event’s dynamic atmosphere, was revealed at a special event held in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, marking the kickoff of five days filled with football festivities.
The FUSSBALLLIEBE with Connected Ball Technology will be utilized in all 51 tournament matches, starting from the opener at Munich’s Allianz Arena on 14 June, 2024.
Available for purchase starting 15 November, 2023, at Adidas retail stores, selected retailers, and online, the FUSSBALLLIEBE Official Match Ball retails for $165 in the U.S., £130 in the UK, and €150 in the EU.
Notably, one percent of net sales will contribute to Common Goal, supporting impactful football charities worldwide.
The design features a predominantly white ball with vibrant triangular patterns and symbolic colors representing inclusivity and diversity.
Additionally, it showcases illustrations of tournament stadiums and host city names, embodying the tournament’s essence.
The ball also integrates Connected Ball Technology, a first for a European Championship, aiding VAR decisions and ensuring precise gameplay.
Its outer shell, supported by the CTR-core, is engineered for enhanced accuracy and consistent performance throughout the tournament.
