LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Terry couldn’t resist some friendly taunting after Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Tottenham on Monday.
The match featured five disallowed goals and two red cards, ultimately resulting in Chelsea’s victory against nine-man Tottenham.
On social media, Terry posted a video of himself celebrating with his wife Toni, writing, “When Chelsea beat Spurs 4-1 on a school night and the tequila comes out, and you end up dancing and singing on the bar.”

James Maddison, who played for Tottenham and was injured during the match, responded to Terry’s post, defending his team’s early lead.
Maddison jokingly wrote, “Jesus, you have your eyes closed when it was 11 vs. 11 in the first 15 minutes of JT?”
Terry playfully replied, “Don’t worry, mate, you will get used to it,” alluding to Chelsea’s strong historical record against Tottenham in the Premier League.
Tottenham is set to play against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, while Chelsea will face Manchester City on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
