LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has reached a significant milestone, becoming the third player in history to score 100 goals in UEFA competitions.

This achievement came during Barcelona’s dominant 5-0 victory over Antwerp.

Lewandowski’s contribution to this remarkable feat occurred when he netted the second goal for Xavi’s team, with Joao Felix, Gavi, and an own goal by Jelle Bataille completing the scoring for Barcelona in the match.

The Polish international, who previously played for Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, now joins an exclusive club of elite footballers who have achieved this monumental milestone.

He shares this distinction with two footballing legends, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are the only other players to have reached 100 goals in UEFA competitions.

Following their emphatic win against Antwerp, Lewandowski and his Barcelona teammates are now gearing up for their next challenge as they face Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.

Barcelona aims to narrow the two-point gap that separates them from league leaders Real Madrid.
