LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has successfully undergone a medical examination as part of his loan transfer to Trabzonspor from Southampton.

With Southampton having signed striker Ross Stewart from Sunderland and retaining Che Adams, manager Russell Martin has agreed to send the 29-year-old Onuachu on a one-year loan deal.
Onuachu was initially signed by former Southampton boss Nathan Jones but struggled to make an impact.
The towering striker, standing at six-foot-six inches, made a total of 12 appearances for Southampton.
He will now join Trabzonspor, a team currently positioned seventh in the Turkish Super Lig.
