Pepe initially joined Arsenal in 2019 in a record-breaking £72 million deal from Lille, but he struggled to find his form during his three-year stint in North London.
Ahead of the 2022–23 season, he embarked on a loan spell with Nice to rejuvenate his career.
With just one year remaining on his Arsenal contract, both the club and player agreed to a mutual termination, allowing Pepe to join Trabzonspor as a free agent.
Trabzonspor’s next match will take place after the international break when they face Besiktas on September 17, giving Pepe an opportunity to make his mark with his new team.
