LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, played host to Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the Presidential Villa in Abuja On Monday, 14 August.
Recall that last week, the Super Falcons were eliminated from the FIFA Women’s World Cup that is now being co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, after losing on penalties to the Lionesses of England.
Following a 4-2 loss against the Lionesses on penalties, the Falcons were eliminated from the competition.

The game ended in a scoreless tie as Nigeria gave a valiant performance against the European champions, necessitating extra time and a penalty shootout.
The Nigerian women’s team was complimented in an advertisement for demonstrating that they are not weaklings.
