LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Manchester United, Erik ten Hag has succeeded where Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal failed by getting his request for a new pre-game lounge at Old Trafford granted.
The manager of Manchester United, Ten Hag, wanted to designate a place for his team to unwind before a game so that he could provide instructions from inside Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, the club renovated a portion of the stadium during the summer at “significant expense” and has since seized control of the hospitality section in the Sir Bobby Charlton stand.
The Red Devils had given up one of their lounges last season as a temporary fix.
Due to expensive ticket sales and corporate sponsorships, the Premier League heavyweights made millions of pounds from this endeavor, but Ten Hag has now prevailed with this modification.
The former Ajax manager reportedly feared that staying with his team at a Manchester hotel the night before games may have an adverse effect on their performance due to the difficulty of traveling to Old Trafford, security issues, and the hotel’s food.

In order to be well-prepared for a game, Ten Hag tells his team to go to the stadium three and a half hours before kickoff.
He has also succeeded where prior managers Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have failed, since all three men had demands for a new lounge turned down when they were in control.
This is a hint that United appears to be putting the demands of the game’s football over its business aspects.
Collette Roche, the chief operations officer of United, had to figure out how to make up the millions of dollars in lost income from selling the lounge, even if off-site options were included in the deal for supporters.
Ten Hag and United are getting ready for the new campaign, which begins for them on Monday, 14 August against Wolves.
