LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Football fans doubt Nigeria’s ability to proceed to the quarterfinals after they placed second in their pool.
Following their goalless draw with the Republic of Ireland in the Round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup, Nigeria’s Super Falcons advanced.
As a consequence, Nigeria finished second in Group B with five points, one point behind Australia, which defeated Canada 4-0.

While some supporters are pleased with the squad’s performance on Monday, others are disappointed because their club moved to the next round.
Some believe their squad should have strived to win their last match in order to draw an inferior team from Group D for the elimination Round of 16.
Denmark and China are currently battling it out for the last knockout spot from Group D, with England currently holding a six-point advantage.
