LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Usain Bolt, a legendary Jamaican sprinter, has jokingly said that he is “ready to unretire” in response to Al-Hilal’s record-breaking bid for Kylian Mbappe.
Al-Hilal, a Saudi organization that just paid Paris Saint-Germain €300 million (£258 million/$332 million), wants the World Cup champion from last year.
Additionally, they are prepared to give Mbappe a significant salary of €700 million (£604 million/$774 million).
However, the French forward is content to stay on the bench for the duration of the campaign at Parc Des-Princes rather than moving his headquarters to Saudi Arabia.
Bolt has jumped on the bandwagon, writing on social media platform X: “I’m ready to unretire for this one year salary $776M.”
However, the astounding offer has rocked the entire sporting world. NBA legend Lebron James joked that he is ready to run like Forrest Gump to Saudi Arabia for that kind of money.

The legendary basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo also pleaded with Al-Hilal to select him over Mbappe because he “looks like” the French international.
While Al-Hilal just expressed his support for Giannis as a fan, Mbappe repeated the tweet with a number of laughing-crying emojis.
Mbappe is adamant that he will stay at PSG through the 2023–24 season and then sign with Real Madrid as a free agent the following summer, where he will be eligible for a substantial signing-on fee.
A €60 million (£52 million/$66 million) loyalty incentive is also scheduled for him if he is still a PSG player on 1 August.
