LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Victor Osimhen has made it clear that he wants to stay at Napoli despite attention from European powerhouses.
Osimhen is among the most sought-after players in the upcoming transfer window following a stellar season in Italy in which the striker scored 31 goals in 39 appearances and was a key factor in Napoli’s Scudetto victory.
According to reports, the Nigerian striker is being pursued by teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, but the player has hinted that he might stay at Napoli.
The Nigerian added in a statement to Soccernet, “I’m really proud that I am genuinely a Scudetto champion; for me, it’s a massive one. I will be honored by any honor that follows this.
“And because the Scudetto is my first trophy as a professional, I am working extremely hard to ensure that. As a result, I have become trophy-addicted.
“I’m already obsessed, and I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new season. There is nowhere better to be than here.

“I am overjoyed that moving here was the right decision. And I’ll always wake up with a smile on my face after helping the Neapolitans achieve such grandeur.
“When my children’s children are born, they will understand that their father accomplished something remarkable.”
Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli owner, said last month that the team is getting ready to extend the contract of their star forward by two years on new conditions.
They reportedly assigned the player a price tag of £130 million.
Whether Manchester United, Chelsea, or Bayern Munich will opt to match the astronomical transfer fee to sign the talented striker is still up in the air.
