LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Marcus Rashford’s goal alongside that of Alejandro Garnacho led Manchester United to a 2-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road.
Rashford’s 12th Premier League goal of the season ensured a win over Leeds United in a match that drew them closer to the Premier League summit.
Just as it seemed both sides would have to be content with a point in the initial half, the English forward broke the deadlock with a well-taken header, before Garnacho scored his second Premier League goal to make sure of the three points.
The Red Devils temporarily moved into second place – above their local rivals Manchester City, who reclaimed the position with a win against Aston Villa, while managerless Leeds side remain just a point outside the relegation zone.
Ten Hag’s side will now face La Liga leaders, Barcelona, as they travel to Camp Nou for the first leg of their Europa League play-off tie.
