A 50-year-old pastor, Lawrence Omoniyi, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, for allegedly defiling a teenage girl. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Bola Osunsanmi, of the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, did not take the defendant’s plea. She adjourned the case until 18 April for the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that there was no winner in the 25 February National Assembly Election in Doguwa and Tudunwada Federal Constituency. Alhassan Doguwa, Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, who contested on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, was initially declared winner of the exercise. Emmanuel Odunlami, a Nigeria-born music manager based in London has been stabbed to death over a designer watch worth up to £300,000 after celebrating his birthday, a court has heard. Four Americans who were kidnapped last week in Mexico have been found on Tuesday, but two of them had already died. According to the Governor of the border State of Tamaulipas, where the abduction occurred last week, two of the four Americans were found dead, while the other two were found alive.
