A fire outbreak at the oil mill market along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has destroyed goods and properties worth millions of naira. Though the cause of the fire was not immediately ascertained, it was learnt that it started early Saturday when traders were still in their houses. Basketball player Darius Miles and another man have been indicted by a grand jury on capital murder charges over the death of a 23-year-old woman near campus in January, 2023. German authorities have commenced investigation into the killing of eight members of the Jehovah Witnesses in the city of Hamburg. The Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall is a non-descript, three-storey building. TD Bank has been ordered to turn over proceeds of a wire fraud committed by their customer, Abidemi Rufai, a convicted serial fraudster currently serving a 5-year jail term at a U.S. correctional facility. Rufai was a close associate of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and had been nabbed for stealing pandemic-relief benefits from the American government and its citizens in May 2021.
