LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Emma Hayes has been officially announced as the incoming head coach for the United States women’s team, marking a significant shift from her current role as Chelsea manager.
Her transition to this esteemed position will occur after she completes the 2023/24 Women’s Super League season with Chelsea, aligning perfectly with the commencement of her duties just ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The decision to appoint Hayes came after an extensive global search led by US Soccer’s sporting director, Matt Crocker, ultimately culminating in her selection.
Furthermore, the statement from US Soccer disclosed that Hayes will assume the position of the highest-paid women’s soccer coach globally.
