LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Como 1907 officially announced the appointment of Cesc Fabregas as the interim head coach following the departure of Moreno Longo.
The legendary Spanish midfielder, renowned for his illustrious career at Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea, had previously managed the club’s B and youth teams.
Fabregas, who announced his retirement from professional football in the summer, played a crucial role for Como in the 2022–23 season before transitioning to coaching.

The Como board expressed their commitment to strategic change, parting ways with Longo and entrusting Fabregas and his coaching staff with interim duties.
The official statement mentioned, “Cesc Fàbregas, who currently coaches the Primavera del Como 1907, will have his first training session on Wednesday morning.”
Fabregas, a former Spanish international, takes charge amid strategic planning by Como 1907, with his first official game as head coach scheduled against FeralpiSalo on November 25 in Serie B.
The football world eagerly anticipates the debut of the midfield maestro in the managerial hot seat as he looks to guide Como to success in the Italian second division.
