LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Barcelona is reportedly in debt for more than €200 million in transfer fees, with obligations owed to clubs including Leeds, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich.
Despite financial constraints that led to Lionel Messi’s departure in 2021, Barcelona has continued to make significant signings.
According to ARA, the club will owe nearly €90 million in the next year, with an additional €120 million to be paid to Leeds, City, Bayern, and Sevilla beyond that timeframe.

Immediate payments include €24 million to Leeds for Raphinha, €13 million to City for Ferran Torres, and €10 million to Bayern for Robert Lewandowski.
Longer-term commitments involve €38 million, €26 million, and €21 million for those respective transfers.
Also, Barcelona must secure €36 million for Jules Kounde, while they are set to receive funds from Sporting and Atletico Madrid for Francisco Trincao and Antoine Griezmann.
