ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has successfully prevented a potential fire hazard involving a tanker loaded with petroleum products on the Stadium Bridge, en route to Barracks/Ojuelegba via Funsho Williams Avenue in Surulere, Lagos.
The incident, which took place on Tuesday, was made known in a press release issued by Adebayo Taofiq, the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment.
The statement confirmed that a Conoil tanker, carrying petroleum products, overturned onto a Volkswagen Golf car, spilling its contents onto the opposite side of the expressway.

In a proactive response to prevent the risk of a fire explosion, LASTMA officials took immediate action as the first responders.
They also alerted other emergency response units, including the LASEMA Response Unit and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services.
Furthermore, the Conoil tanker driver, identified as Sefiyu Adamu, was apprehended and subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.
