LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The City Football Group (CFG) aims to boost its brand recognition in Manchester by constructing a massive indoor arena for live events.
Tim Leiweke, a renowned American sports executive, known for signing David Beckham to Major League Soccer in 2007, announced the collaboration to create this new arena near Etihad Stadium.

The project, set to be the largest indoor arena in England, is part of CFG’s long-term strategy to increase the group’s overall value, although it won’t immediately contribute to Manchester City’s first-team budget.
Adjacent to their football stadium, the 23,500-seat arena, called “Co-op Live,” is set to open in April 2024, aiming to have the largest maximum capacity of any indoor arena in the UK, including both seats and standing areas.
