LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nicolas Pepe, who is currently with Arsenal, is on the brink of joining Besiktas as the North London club considers terminating his contract.
Despite having a contract that extends to 2024, Pepe’s exclusion from Arteta’s plans for the season has prompted discussions about ending his contract a year earlier.
This decision would pave the way for the 28-year-old to embrace Besiktas’ offer and join them as a free agent, as reported by L’Equipe.

The report also mentions that Pepe is presently undergoing a medical examination in Paris before formally accepting the Turkish club’s proposal.
Upon his return to Arsenal, he played no significant role in the club’s preseason preparations and was absent from the squad for all four of their Premier League matches so far.
Initially, the Ivory Coast international turned down Besiktas’ offer earlier in the summer transfer window.
However, he has now had a change of heart and is ready to embark on a new chapter in the Turkish Super Lig, offering him another opportunity to resurrect his career.
