LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Barcelona has focused on Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha as they search for a long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets.
Sport claims that Palhinha has emerged as one of the leading contenders. Barca coach Xavi has made the acquisition of a new midfielder his primary objective for the summer transfer window.
Additionally, Florentino Luis of Benfica is being watched as It won’t be simple for the Camp Nou team to acquire Palhinha, though.
The 27-year-old moved to Fulham from Sporting CP last year; his deal is good through 2027.
The Daily Mail reports that Fulham is now in charge of the negotiation and is asking for about £90 million ($114 million).

Busquets went to join Inter Miami, and Barca initially wanted Martin Zubimendi to replace him.
Real Sociedad’s outstanding player turned out to be too pricey, therefore the team decided against signing Sofyan Amrabat as well.
