Robert Lewandowski reportedly played a part in convincing Ilkay Gundogan to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Gundogan is set to join Barcelona on a free transfer once his contract with current club Manchester City expires.
Despite efforts from some bigwigs in the club at convincing him to stay, the German has chosen to continue his football in Spain.
Reports in Poland claim that Lewandowski had a chat with Gundogan in Warsaw recently and helped convince the midfielder to make the move to Barcelona.

The two were in Warsaw for an international friendly between Poland and Germany which resulted in a 1-0 win for the hosts.
The Polish used the opportunity to speak to Gundogan and help him make up his mind on where to play his football next season.
Gundogan has agreed a two-year deal with Barcelona, with the option of one more, and turned down the chance to continue at Barcelona.
Gundogan has enjoyed a legendary seven-year stint with Manchester City.
The 32-year-old joined the Premier League giants at the same time as Pep Guardiola and has been a trusted lieutenant for the former Barcelona manager who deemed him fit for the captaincy armband this past season.

The German international has made 304 appearances for Manchester City, chipping in with 60 goals and 40 assists.
Gundogan’s name featured prominently on Barcelona’s radar as soon as Sergio Busquets decided to end his stint at Spotify Camp Nou.
While the Manchester City captain emerged as a subject of interest for several other clubs, the Blaugrana remained optimistic about signing him.
