LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA) – Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Saturday, called on the residents of the state to troop out in large numbers to perform their civic duties in the ongoing Local Government election.
The governor appealed to residents to come out and exercise their civic responsibilities.
It was reported that Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) Chairman, Isiaka Olagunju, had fixed Saturday, April 27, 2024, for the council’s poll.

“Observed that eligible voters refused to come out to participate in the ongoing election,” PUNCH said.
Speaking to journalists shortly after casting his vote at Ward 1, Unit 11 in the Ibadan North East LGA, the governor appeal to the people and also made a remark on the basis of selecting good leaders for the state.
The ongoing local government election is expected to end by 3:pm.
