LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-N’Golo Kante, Chelsea midfielder, is now one step closer to becoming Saudi Arabia’s league’s marquee signing.
Kante will be a free agent at the end of the month and was always going to leave Chelsea after they elected not to renew his contract due to his recent history of injuries.
Al Ittihad are currently close, and a deal is anticipated to be finalized within the next 24 hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Ittihad are now optimistic that they may sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante within the next 24 hours.
The Saudi League is expanding, and Kante will be Al Ittihad’s second major signing in as many weeks, following the acquisition of Karim Benzema last week.

The additions over the past two weeks appear to be a nod to Cristiano Ronaldo’s declaration from last week that he felt he would open doors for players to join the Saudi League.
Romelu Lukaku, a forward for Chelsea, is apparently also in Saudi Arabia to speak with Al Hilal about a possible transfer.
All that is left to seal the agreement are the players’ and agents’ signatures, as Kante has already finished a portion of his physical at Al Ittihad.
The French midfielder is anticipated to sign with Al Ittihad by tomorrow after today’s final round of negotiations.
