Rasheed Kashamu, the son of late Buruji Kashamu, has emerged winner of the House of Assembly elections for Ijebu North Constituency I in Ogun State.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, secured victory in the poll conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday.
Kashamu garnered 7,107 votes, defeating his closest rival from the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 6,866 votes.
The 26-year-old politician will become the youngest Ogun State House of Assembly member and the second-youngest in the country’s current dispensation.
