The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to upload all the results from the presidential election, three weeks after Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared winner.
Tinubu secured a total of 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished in second place with 6,984,520 votes.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 6,101,533 votes.
Checks by Tribune showed a total of 166,656 results from 176, 846 polling units, representing 94:24 percent have been uploaded on the IReV portal.
This comes following INEC’s failure to electronically transmit results to its viewing portal despite promising the electorates before the poll.
For some analysts, INEC’s behaviour contradicts Section 60 of the country’s Electoral Act which mandated that INEC officials must upload results immediately once they are collated.
The portal, known as INEC Rev, was designed by the commission for presiding officers to upload results from polling units.
Meanwhile, INEC has been uploading results from the just-concluded gubernatorial and State Assembly election in 28 States of the federation.
