Four men named Salahu Yau, Aminu Salmanu, Salmanu Shafi’u and Yusuf Sale; have been sentenced to death by hanging on four counts of criminal conspiracy. A 53-year-old technician and his wife have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over alleged plan to extort N5million from their relatives living in the United Kingdom. The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has demanded “immediate withdrawal and jettisoning” of the bill which seeks to prevent Nigerian-trained medical doctors from being issued full practicing licenses or allowed to travel abroad for five years.
