LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Pepe, the veteran Porto defender and former Real Madrid icon, created history by becoming the first player over the age of 40 to score a Champions League goal in a match against Antwerp.

The 40-year-old Pepe, who began his professional career 22 years ago in 2001, netted the second goal in Porto’s 2-0 victory during the 91st minute of the game.

Despite his age, Pepe remains a crucial part of the Porto squad, with seven appearances in all competitions.
