(VOICE OF NAIJA) –Paris Saint-Germain’s star player, Kylian Mbappe, suffered an ankle injury and had to exit the game during their match against Marseille.
Mbappe was visibly uncomfortable after a challenge from Leonardo Balerdi early in the match.
Despite initially returning to the field after receiving treatment, Mbappe had to leave the game, kicking the ball out of play before heading straight down the tunnel.
This injury is a cause for concern for PSG coach Luis Enrique, as Mbappe has been a critical player for the team since returning from a summer filled with uncertainty about his future.
Before his injury, Mbappe had an impressive record, scoring seven goals in just four Ligue 1 appearances for PSG.

The injury occurred during a crucial match for PSG, who were looking to bounce back after a 3-2 loss to Nice the previous week. They were trailing Ligue 1 leaders Brest by five points.
After Mbappe’s departure, Randal Kolo Muani scored his first goal for PSG by capitalizing on a rebound from a Pau Lopez save.
PSG will be hoping that Mbappe’s injury is not too severe. They are uncertain about his availability for upcoming matches against Clermont Foot and their next Champions League fixture against Newcastle.
