LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League opener, with Vitinha’s standout performance setting the tone despite goals from Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi.

After a lackluster first half, PSG came alive in the second, dominating a well-organized Dortmund side.

Vitinha nearly broke the deadlock in the first half, hitting the post with a long-range effort.

The second half saw PSG’s resurgence, starting with Niklas Sule’s handball in the box, leading to a penalty calmly converted by Mbappe.

Ten minutes later, Hakimi added another goal, capitalizing on a swift exchange with Vitinha.

PSG’s attack, led by Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Randal Kolo Muani, remained dangerous throughout, with Vitinha serving as the crucial link between midfield and attack.

While Dortmund threatened briefly when substitute Jamie Bynoe-Gittens hit the post from outside the box, PSG largely maintained control, showcasing great potential in their European campaign.
