LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Victor Osimhen, the Napoli striker instrumental in their Serie A title victory last season, is reportedly at risk of being fined by the club due to his reaction to being substituted during the goalless draw against Bologna.
Osimhen’s frustration became evident when he was substituted with just four minutes remaining in the match, particularly because he had missed a penalty earlier that could have secured a win for Rudi Garcia’s team.
Cameras captured Osimhen expressing his displeasure towards Garcia upon seeing his number held up.
The 24-year-old believed Napoli should have opted for two strikers when pushing for a late victory.

While Garcia has kept the details of their heated discussion private, reports from Il Mattino suggest that club captain Giovanni di Lorenzo has been tasked with addressing Osimhen’s behavior.
It’s also mentioned that the African forward might face a fine as a consequence of his touchline outburst.
Napoli is determined to underline that no player is permitted to challenge the authority of head coach Garcia.
Osimhen will have this reiterated during a meeting with Di Lorenzo, scheduled to take place at the club’s training ground on Monday.
