May Yul Edochie, the daughter-in-law of Pete Edochie, has celebrated the legendary Nollywood actor after receiving double honorary doctorate degree.
Pete Edochie had reached a significant milestone in his career when he was awarded two doctorates and a lifetime achievement award from Togo University, ISTM.
The International School of Technology and Management, ISTM University, Togo, awarded Edochie a doctoral degree in Literature, another doctorate degree in Arts, and a lifetime achievement award.
In a video posted online, University personnel visited the movie thespian at his home to decorate him and give him with the award plaque and diplomas.
The honour was given to the veteran for his artistic involvement and grooming in the Nigerian creative industry.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday morning, May who shares three children with estranged husband and actor, Yul Edochie wrote, “It’s a double celebration!!!

Only a veteran and and legend gets decorated twice on the same day.
Thanks to ISTM university for making the right decision to confer the degrees of “Doctorate of Arts” and “Doctorate of Literature” on the @peteedochie the great; a man of honor, a man of dignity and a father to all. The lion of Africa.
My prayer is that the good Lord will continue to strengthen you and mummy and give you only reasons to celebrate and be celebrated”
Her estranged husband, Yul Edochie had earlier poured praises on his father, celebrating his double win.
Taking to his Instagram page to celebrate his father, Yul Edochie hailed him.
Calling him the Lion of Africa, he described his father as his man for life as he noted how he deserved the recognition and award.

Joining her husband, his second wife, Judy Austin hailed him for being the Lion of Africa.
Judy’s post comes after her husband Yul Edochie finally celebrated his father’s achievements.
She noted how the legendary actor deserves the recognition and award as she prayed for a long life and more blessings.
