LAGOS, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Former gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, has reacted to the ongoing feud between Nigerian singers Wizkid and Davido.
Lending his voice in favour of Davido, the former senator claimed that Davido is the leader of the Nigerian music industry.
He asserted that the “unavailable” singer is also the most commercially successful globally.
On his X handle, he wrote: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”

Wizkid and Davido were recently engaged in a war of word on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
The dispute began in the early hours of Monday when Wizkid mocked Davido and Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records founder.
Wizkid called Don Jazzy an influencer while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.
In a flurry of tweets on Monday evening, Davido took a subtle jab at Wizkid, implying he was online to confront his adversaries.
Davido made a scathing comment about Wizkid’s carter, stating that his music was no longer relevent.
