LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Super Eagles are set to commence their training camp on Wednesday, September 6th, in preparation for the crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against So Tomé and Principe scheduled for this weekend.
The announcement was made via the Super Eagles’ official social media account on Monday.
The Super Eagles will face São Tomé on Sunday, September 10th, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

On Sunday, the names of the 23-man squad for the São Tomé clash were revealed, featuring new additions Victor Boniface, Gift Orban, and Jordan Torunarigha, along with the return of Tyronne Ebuehi and Jamilu Collins.
Key players like Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, William Troost-Ekong, and Samuel Chukwueze are among those called up.
The Super Eagles, along with Guinea-Bissau, have already secured their spots in next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire from Group A.
