ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – As part of efforts to restore democratic rule in Niger Republic, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) military chiefs have set Thursday and Friday to deliberate over the development in Accra, Ghana.
Also, the German government has joined calls for the immediate release of the ejected President Mohamed Bazoum.
An international news agency, Reuter, quoted a spokesperson for regional body announced this on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, ECOWAS had suspended a key military meeting on the crisis in Niger scheduled on 12 August, in Accra.
It was gathered that the meeting was suspended indefinitely for “technical reasons”.
The meeting has now been scheduled for Thursday and Friday in Ghana.
