ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Katsina State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has successfully arrested a group of burglars responsible for robberies in Katsina communities.
The spokesperson for the Command, DSC Buhari Hamisu, revealed that three individuals believed to be part of a notorious syndicate specializing in house break-ins were arrested.
During the investigation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crimes.
According to Hamisu, the apprehended suspects, in collaboration with their ringleader, Yahaya Shua’ibu, also known as “Jidda,” and three other accomplices who remain at large, carried out burglaries in Shararrar Pipe Quarters Katsina.
The victims, Jafaru Sani Buhari and Buraimoh Abbas Olayemi, had their residence and a compound with two flats broken into, resulting in the theft of valuable items worth thousands of Naira.

The search conducted by the NSCDC team yielded significant evidence, including one mattress, two freezers, a sewing machine, a gas cooker, a grinding machine, a tiger generator, an electricity stabilizer, a kettle, a hand saw, a submersible wire, and a bag containing sockets and a ceiling fan.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will be prosecuted in a competent court, as confirmed by DSC Hamisu.
The Command, under the leadership of Commandant Jamilu Indabawa, sends a stern warning to all criminals and miscreants in the State, emphasizing that the NSCDC and other security agencies will relentlessly pursue and apprehend any wrongdoers.
Hamisu also called on the general public to support security agencies by providing actionable and timely intelligence that will aid in uncovering the activities of miscreants in the state.
Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious movements to the nearest office to maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
