LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Andre Onana is apparently eager to join Manchester United, and has received a verbal offer of £39 million from the Red Devils.
Fabrizio Romano claims that the Red Devils have intensified their pursuit of the Cameroonian goalkeeper and have made a verbal offer to Inter of £39 million, including add-ons.
There is no agreement between the two clubs because the bid does not come close to matching Inter’s £50 million (€60 million) valuation.
In order to help United reduce Inter’s demands, Onana is ready to finalize his move to Old Trafford.
David de Gea’s contract with the Red Devils expired at midnight on last Friday, making him a free agent. He is being considered as de Gea’s replacement.
Al-Nassr is said to be interested in Onana actively and willing to pay a hefty price to acquire the 27-year-old.

The shot-stopper is one of United’s main priorities this summer, so as Saudi interest in him grows, they will need to act quickly.
Given that Onana and Erik ten Hag previously collaborated at Ajax, Onana is familiar with ten Hag’s methods and should fit in wonderfully at United.
The goalkeeper will be needed from the start of the Red Devils’ preseason, which is scheduled to begin on July 12 with a friendly match against Leeds in Norway before a tour of the United States. The club will work to complete the agreement as quickly as feasible.
