LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – PSG Mbappe informed that he will not be renewing his contract in 2024 but would still like to play for the club the following year.
According to L’Equipe, Mbappe has been informed by PSG to extend by the end of July or they would put him up for sale.
PSG does not want Mbappe to leave for free since they would forfeit a significant transfer price and would then be forced to sell players in order to make ends meet at a time when a successor for the World Cup winner is required.
Though speculation over the striker’s future persists, it might be challenging to make a deal during the current transfer window.
According to speculations, Mbappe wants a massive €240 million contract before leaving this summer.
Although Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has informed supporters that the club is not presently pursuing Mbappe, the club has long been a fan of the striker.

However, it’s believed that Los Blancos will leave Mbappe free to wear Karim Benzema’s No. 9 shirt.
The France international, who has previously acknowledged his admiration for the Reds, has also been linked with a high-profile move to Liverpool, although the 24-year-old is probably out of the club’s price range.
On Sunday, 13 August, PSG and FC Lorient will square battle at the Parc des Princes to begin their new Ligue 1 season. If Mbappe will still be with the team when the season begins is still a matter of debate.
