LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid have agreed on a transfer fee of €103 million (£88 million/$110 million) for the acquisition of Jude Bellingham.
The 19-year-old will complete a summer transfer to Santiago Bernabeu according to a deal Real have reached with Dortmund, as first reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic on Wednesday.
Bellingham is scheduled to come in the Spanish capital in the “coming days” to undergo a medical, marking one of the highest transfer payments in the histories of both clubs.
Jude Bellingham is about to transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid CF, according to an official announcement from Dortmund that both confirms the agreement with Real and details the terms of the deal.

On the merits of this, the parties have now come to an understanding. The contractual specifics still require coordination and documentation.
The FIFA move Matching System’s (FIFA TMS) rules must be followed in order for the move to be realized.
“Real Madrid will pay BVB fixed transfer compensation of EUR 103.0 million. In addition, the payment of variable transfer fees up to a maximum total amount of around 30% of the amount of the fixed transfer fee was agreed.
“The variable transfer fees are dependent on the achievement of certain sporting achievements by Real Madrid and/or sporting achievements or performance by the player at Real Madrid over the next six seasons.”
Following another fantastic season for Dortmund, when he won the Bundesliga Player of the Season, and a spectacular World Cup for Gareth Southgate’s England, Bellingham had become one of Europe’s hottest properties.
Prior to pulling out over his outrageous transfer fee, Liverpool had been the early front-runners. Manchester City had also briefly entered the race.
The only thing left was for the two clubs to agree on a transfer cost after Bellingham said his farewell to Dortmund and was claimed to have been shopping for a property in Madrid.
The fact that Bellingham and Madrid had reached a personal agreement has been publicly reported for a while.

Now that a complete agreement between the two clubs has been achieved, he joins a team that faces intense competition in the midfield, including a number of promising young players.
However, Real’s acquisition of Bellingham is significant since it effectively completes their midfield for the foreseeable future, as they already had players like Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Fede Valverde on their books.
The planning for the next group of Galacticos, under President Florentino Perez, are already well under way.
Bellingham’s medical exams with his new employers are soon to be scheduled, as Ornstein points out, as Real once again completes their business early in the summer window.
After veteran Karim Benzema formally ended his 14-spell in Spain on Sunday, focus will likely now go to adding offensive reinforcements.
