LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Neymar reportedly has expressed interest in joining Manchester United only if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain, although a transfer is contingent on the ongoing takeover drama at the team.
The Brazilian’s contract at the Parc des Princes isn’t up for another four years, but he has apparently been driven toward the exits by recent, ferocious protests outside his own house.
Neymar and United were reportedly in talks last Monday about a spectacular summer transfer, and now Foot Mercato is claiming that the 31-year-old’s favourite location is Old Trafford.
Other Premier League clubs that had previously expressed interest in the Brazilian could suffer a setback as a result of the decision.

While Neymar has been linked to Chelsea, Newcastle, and even Manchester City, it is said that he has previously turned down approaches from Saudi Arabia because of his strong affinity for United.
Any move, though, is dependent on United’s protracted takeover crisis, as is the case with much of this summer’s transfer activity.
According to reports, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are leading the charge for a full buy-out offer.
A decision on the winning bidder is anticipated this summer, some months after the intended deadline, as the takeover process at United continues to drag out.
The Brazilian’s potential stay in Paris cannot be ruled out though, as he appeared alongside fellow fugitive Lionel Messi in the team’s commercial introducing their new home uniform.
